Kibale forest national park national park is situated in the western part of Uganda home to 13 species of primates and 325 species of bird recorded. It was established as a national park in 1993 to protect a large area of a forest previously managed as a logged forest reserve.

Forest walks
Forest walks at Kibale forest can be done at day time or night time, you will spot various primates like olive baboons, vevet monkeys, blue monkeys, white and black colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, birds like African pitta, green breasted pitta, brown crested aleth, black capped apalis, dusky crimson wing, yellow spotted nicator and during night forest walks you can see night owls, bush babies and so much more.
Community walk
Community walks can be organised at the lodge at additional charge and upon request, take time to visit the people and learn about their ways of lives, enjoy local traditional dances and buy some handmade crafts from the locals to take home for remembrance or as gifts to your loved ones.
Chimpanzee tracking and chimpanzee habituation
The main reason people travel to Kibale forest national park is to track chimpanzees or chimpanzee habituation. The park has been dubbed as the primate capital of the world with 95 percent chances of seeing chimpanzees. Chimpanzees share over 90 percent DNA with humans making them close relatives so an encounter with the interesting great apes is worth a life time experience.
