Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the main activity, especially budget gorilla trekking tours.
The gorilla families you can trek in the Buhoma sector include Mubare gorilla family, which was the first habituated gorilla family in Bwindi, Habinyanja gorilla family, and Rushegura gorilla family.
Gorilla trekking normally takes between 30 minutes to 7 hours, depending on the phase of hikers and the location of the gorilla family.
Children under the age of 15 years will not be allowed to trek gorillas.
Uganda gorilla permits cost $700 per person.
