Murchison River Lodge

Murchison River Lodge is located in Murchison Falls National Park, overlooking River Nile, the world’s longest river. The lodge is one of the best midrange options in Murchison Falls National Park. It makes you feel home away from home with its blended touch of modern and African design.

Murchison River Lodge has different accommodation types within one lodge and these include the river tents uniquely set to give you breathtaking views of the Nile. They have a private porch area and the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and en suite bathroom and showers.

The thatched safari tents are nestled in the surrounding bush at the lodge, giving you a true jungle experience like no other. They have comfortable beds, hot running water, thatched roof, wooden doors and USB ports.

The thatched cottages have a big bed on the Mezzaine floor and two single beds downstairs. They have a private wide veranda with a hammock and a chair where you can have stunning views and also spot various birds. The cottages are a great deal for those travelling with a family or friends.

They also have a campsite to cater for budget travellers with clean toilets and showers, shaded camping site, camp pit and fire wood, campsite bar, free parking.

For travelers moving with children, there is a children play area where they can play from from with very attentive staff while you engage in other activities like nature walks.

There’s also a baby cot, baby birth, swing, sand pit, books and toys, kids menu, evening baby seats where a staff member will seat outside your room with a two way radio and call to the restaurant to inform you if the baby wakes up.

The Murchison River Lodge restaurant offers local and international cuisine meals. Fresh produce like fish is sourced locally within the region. Continental early breakfast is served from 5-7am am, cooked morning breakfast from 7-9am, 2 course lunch options is from 12-2pm and 3 course dinner is served from 7-9pm.
