Chimpanzee trekking. Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park is always done in the morning or afternoon hours and lasts for about 3 hours. You are given an hour to spend around chimpanzees from the moment you see them. The chances of seeing chimpanzees in Kibale Forest is over 95 percent.
Chimpanzee habituation. Chimpanzee habituation is described as the process of making chimpanzees get used to human presence so that they can be tracked later. Only a few people are allowed to participate in Chimpanzee habituation, which normally is an all day experience that requires you to carry breakfast and packed lunch with you.
Bird watching. Kibale Forest National Park is home to over 300 species of birds. Some of these species are endemic to the albertine rift valley. Examples of common birds at the park include; grey blue turaco, pin tailed whydah, tropical boubou, African pied wagtail, slender billed weaver, crowned eagle, little greenbul, Ruwenzori Apalis, grey parrot, Abyssinian ground thrush, red chested owlet, red faced woodland warbler and western nicator to mention a few.
