Mara Plains Camp is situated on 13,300 hectares of Olare Motorogi private conservancy along the forested banks of the Ntia Ketiak River on the northern boundary of Masai Mara, one of the world’s best wildlife destinations.
Please note that needed items can be hand-carried by travelers or purchased locally. The camp consists of only seven safari tents, each raised on decks, featuring a king-size bed in some tents, set on hewn wood floors, with thick Lamu wood doors.
Each tent has two bathrooms, accommodating a maximum of fourteen guests.
Amenities include:
Well-polished copper bathtubs
Complimentary WiFi
Swarovski HD binoculars
Lens kit and Canon camera body
Minibar
Private veranda
Please note that children above six years are allowed, with family suites fully organized for visitors.
Mara Plains Camp is a flexible safari destination offering one hundred percent privacy, excellent gourmet food and drinks, such as classy wines and tasty cocktails.
It is adorned with rich leathers, copper, and brass furniture that not only contribute to its beauty but also support the community by employing a significant number of the Masai people.
The camp is also a member of the Great Plains Conservation, recognized for planting over 2,000 trees in the field to regenerate the ecosystem and bring back indigenous trees to the Reserve.
This organization also supports children by investing in their education to ensure a bright future. So, your visit to the camp creates a significant impact on the community at large.
Doing good never stops at Mara Plains Camp, as the Mara Family also supports women-owned businesses through the sale of their handiwork in the camp’s bush boutique.
There is a variety of activities you can participate in while at the camp, including:
Stargazing: Normally done very early in the morning when the sun is rising and late in the evening when it’s setting. It’s done hand in hand with bush walks led by professional camp tour guides who are friendly, loving, and always aim to take visitors to spots where adventure is at its best.
Birdwatching: Tourists enjoy being serenaded on the deck outside their booked tent as they listen to the sharp sounds of the birds. They can also follow the trail to the best nesting spots where birds fly from north to south.
Sing Hosanna from Mara Plains Camp and savor the glory of comfort!
