Chimpanzee Tracking. Chimpanzee tracking has become one of the most sought after tourist activities of in East Africa. Kibale Forest National Park is the number one leading chimpanzee trekking destination in the world, with chances of seeing chimpanzees being over 95 percent. Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest starts at 8am in the morning or 2pm in the afternoon and takes about 3hours inclusive of a full hour to observe your close relatives and take photos.
Chimpanzee Habituation. Chimpanzee habituation is the best option for primate loves who would love to spend the entire day with researchers and rangers during their daily work of habituating chimpanzees. The chimpanzee habituation process can be described as the process of making chimpanzees get used to human presence before they are opened up for tourism.
Bird Watching in Uganda. Kibale Forest National Park is home to 325 species of birds, 6 of which are endemic to the albertine region. The best place for bird watching is in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you will spot bird species like the African pitta, dusky crimson wing, collared apalis, crowned eagle, black bee eater, yellow spotted nicataor, yellow rumped tinker bird and purple brestaed sunbird to mention a few.
Nature Guided Walks. Nature guided walks at Kibale Forest National Park can be done from the forest, Bigodi wetland system and exploration craters.
