Kazinga Channel View Resort is a budget lodge located in Queen Elizabeth National Park Kasese overlooking the magnificent Kazinga channel. It is just 1 kilometer off Kasese-Mbarara road. Kazinga Channel View Resort offers breathtaking views of Kazinga Channel streamed with wildlife. It is one of the best budget lodges in Kibale Forest National Park.

Kazinga Channel View Resort offers accommodation in well furnished standard rooms, cottages and bandas. The rooms situated on the main block are self contained while others have to share facilities. The cottages are privately set and self contained with hot running water. There is also a camping site for those interested in camping.

Wildlife Viewing

There several well established game driving tracks in Queen Elizabeth National Park where you can take a game drives from. Some of the animals found in Queen Elizabeth National Park include the Ugandan Kob, waterbucks, bush bucks, warthogs, African cape buffalo, hippos, lions, leopards and so much more. The best time for doing a game drive is during the morning and evening hours.

Birding

Queen Elizabeth National Park is a birder’s paradise endowed with over 600 species of birds. The best areas for birding in the park are Kazinga Channel, Lake Kikorongo, Maramagambo Forest, Kyambura Gorge, Mweya Peninsula, Ishasha Sector and Kasenyi Area. Some of the examples of bird species here include the white winged warbler, papyrus gonolek, chapins flycatcher, African broadbill, martial eagle, African skimmer, black bee eater and bar tailed Godwit to mention a few.

Boat Cruise

The best place for doing a boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park is at the Kazinga Channel, close to Kazinga Channel View Resort. The 32 kilometer channel is the longest natural channel in the world. It connects Lake George and Lake Edward.

Kazinga channel also has the highest concentration of hippos in the world, so you will spot hippos and crocodiles close to your boat and also lots of water birds flying in the air. The boat activity normally lasts from about 2 hours. The best time to a do boat ride is the afternoon or evening when animals have come to quench thirst.
