Encounter Mara Safari Camp is open from June to April and closed in May. It does an extraordinary job in providing excellent service and offering safari cars for tourists from the nearby airstrip known as Mara OI Seki.
Here’s what you can expect to find in the camp:
Battery charging facilities, well shielded from children’s reach.
Solar and standby generator for supporting the electricity supply.
Hot water safari bucket showers, which are perfect for warming up tourists who bathe late in the cold night or very early in the morning before the sun rises.
Ten spacious luxury tents (including two triples and one family tent) with shady verandas and an in-room lockable safe for keeping important documents or money.
Flushing toilets, always kept clean to ensure a comfortable stay.
En-suite bathrooms, providing a heavenly warm water experience for guests in a queen-sized bed.
Laundry service is available 24/7, so you don’t need to worry about washing.
The Masai Mara, being a route for the great migration, is always bustling with curious bush trackers moving through open plains filled with acacia trees.
Game drives are offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening to cater to every guest’s preferences.
Horseback riding allows you to explore the reserve while capturing the moment. Hot air balloon rides take you up in the air to observe the tips of hills and view the shyer animals.
Visiting the local community is an excellent opportunity to learn about their culture and dishes, and many guides are employed from the community.
However, after a tiring day, you’ll need a place to rest, and that’s where Encounter Mara Safari Camp comes in.
It’s designed to provide panoramic views of the Mara Reserve from all corners.
Don’t be alarmed by lions, as they may pause nearby, observing the newcomers on their land, while giraffes graze in the area designated for bush meals and watch the flying birds above.
Just continue with what you’re doing, as sharing the land with wild animals is a unique experience.
Leisure never stops at Encounter Mara Camp; it’s always vibrant and ready for you to sit back and relax.
