Buhoma lodge is one of the Uganda exclusive camp lodges; the lodge is one of the best luxury accommodation options in Bwindi. It is located in the Buhoma sector of Bwindi impenetrable national park.
Accommodation at Buhoma lodge is provided in 10 spacious chalets well built with local materials sourced from the surrounding environment. The en suit bathrooms contain a rain shower with hot running water and flush toilets. Some chalets also contain bathtubs for perfect relaxation.
The chalets use eco friendly solar system, mosquito proof window screens and so much more amenities to make your stay comfortable. The honeymoon chalet has got a separate lounge room with an open fireplace.
The restaurant serves mouth watering meals served by warm welcoming staff and the bar is well stocked with soft and hard drinks. The bar and restaurant area provides uninterrupted views of the splendid Bwindi impenetrable forest.
You can enjoy drinks at the bar besides an evening campfire as you share your day experience with other guests. Free Wi-Fi and charging facilities are also available at the bar; hot beverages are available throughout the day on self service basis but can be delivered to your chalet with early morning wake up calls.

Accommodation rates at Buhoma lodge depend on high season, low season, shoulder season and peak season. Meal plan will also determine the room price, children under the age of 5 years stay for free and those of 5-10 years are given a discount.
Gorilla trekking
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is the main activity. The activity always starts early in the morning and takes about 1 hour to 6 hours and once a mountain gorilla family is found you will enjoy an hour of observation and taking photos. Always endeavor to follow the gorilla trekking rules and regulations especially while with gorillas. Children under the age of 15 years and adults with infectious diseases will not be allowed to trek gorillas.
How to get there
Buhoma lodge can be reached within a full day’s drive from Entebbe or Kampala City, 2 hours drive from Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park, 6 hours drive from Lake Mburo and standard chartered flights can be got from Entebbe international airport of Kajjansi airfield to Kihihi airstrip and ten drive to the lodge.
