Bakers lodge is one of the oldest lodges in Murchison falls national park and derives its name from the historical famous explorer Sir Samuel Baker who was the first European to spot Murchison falls. Accommodation at the lodge is provided in en suite grass thatched safari tents with each containing a raised deck overlooking the world’s longest river.
The raised grass thatched restaurant and bar provide panoramic views of the river Nile and stunning views of sunset in the evening and sun rise in the mornings. The dining serves deliciously cooked continental meals and the bar serves various drinks ranging from soft drinks, hard drinks, juices, beer and wines. You can also decide to dine close to the river.
The onsite jetty gives you access to the fleet of water craft, the craft can take you to various destinations of the park like the Nile Delta on Lake Albert, base of Murchison falls, Fishing and sunset and sun rise cruises. The lodge also offers Uganda safari vehicles for hire to explore Murchison falls national park or drive to Budongo forest.
The swimming pool is the best place to cool off after a long day and relax with magnificent sunsets, there is also a craft shop where you can buy locally handmade crafts to take back home for remembrance or to your loved ones.

How to get there
Murchison falls National Park can be reached within 5 hours drive from Kampala; you can also use a standard chartered flight from Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi airfield. Bakers lodge is found at the southern bank of River Nile Just at the outside boundary of Murchison.
