Arcadia cottages in Lake Bunyonyi are part of the Arcadia cottages found in two locations that is Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale and Lake Mburo National Park in Mbarara. These lodges were opened in the year 2004 and being run by a family and in a long run they plan to open more lodges in different parts of the country.
Arcadia cottages in Lake Bunyonyi are situated on top of a hill overlooking the stunning Lake Bunyonyi and its islands, the rooms are well furnished and self contained with hot running water, internet access and room service.
Accommodation at Arcadia cottages is provided in 11 spacious cottages with each providing spectacular views of the Lake and the country side farmlands. The cottages have raised decks where you can sit and relax from.
There is a 25 seater motor launch which you can use to explore the magnificent Lake Bunyonyi islands, the cruise is available both day and night time. Arcadia cottages also provide car transport for those who would like to explore other parts of Uganda or around Lake Mburo and Lake Bunyonyi.
For adventurous travellers, there are also quad bikes for hire that you can use to explore the muddy tracks of the Lake Shores or ridges overlooking the Lake. They also have two high end bombardier jet skis available for hire.
For business travellers there is a conference room with all conference facilities, the bar serves a variety of drinks ranging from spirits, whiskeys, soft drinks, wines and beers. The restaurant serves delicious continental meals.

Birding
Lake Bunyonyi gets its name from a local word translated to men “little birds”. It’s endowed with 200 species of birds recorded. Birding activities can be organized at the lodge and you will spot various species of birds such as; Grey crowned crane, stranger weaver bird, king fisher, African fish eagle and many others.
