Kenya Camping Safaris & Tented Tours (Best Tents & Camps)

Camping Safari Tours in Kenya

Honeymooners, Researchers and family groups always enjoy the endless fun and entertainment under the sky during a camping safari, the songs and stories shared during a campfire, and the chance of spotting nocturnal animals roaming around their territories is real, many of which are brave enough to enter the tents in search for what to eat. The most recommendable time for camping is during the dry season, when no rain can wet the ground, or fall at night when you are sharing your light moments, from December to March and June to about September.

The Masai Mara National Park

Kenya's largest reserve and most famous national park located in Narok County, only a few kilometers from the Great Rift Valley established in 1961. The park has plenty of thickets, trees, mammals, and savannahs spread across the wild and amazing wealth big cats (leopard, cheetah, and lions) together with buffaloes, elephant's different antelope species, and zebras among others. As you camp in the Maasai Mara, be informed that from June to September, the park hosts the annual migration of beasts accompanied by different mammals from Serengeti national park in a quest for greener pastures.

The Amboseli National Park

As you camp in this park, expect to encounter several Buffalos, elephants, crocodiles, bird species (Egyptian geese, and pelican), numerous plant species and interesting views of amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro. A camping safari offers fantastic experience of wildlife familiarity as well as saving time for connecting to the game drives, and transportation.

Camping in Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha is home to several birds and mammals including buffalos, hippos, giraffe, Colobus monkeys, zebras, lions and many more. Before returning to your camp, have a dramatic boat ride sailing on the lake, as you spot a Fish Eagle shovel itself what to eat.

Lake Nakuru National Park

The idea of having a camping safari to Kenya is the best one, and an opportunity to grab, transportation is available and very comfortable.

Kenya camping safaris offer a whole different kind of safari experience than sleeping in normal safari lodges. When camping, you sleep in tents that could range from budget to mid-range and luxury. This gives you the wilderness feeling and in most cases you’ll hear wildlife roaming below your tent. This is exactly what some clients want. The feeling is awesome but could turn scary at first. Irrespective of the tents you’ll sleep in, your safety is always guaranteed.

Booking Kenya camping safaris is a great way of saving money as you adventure through the African wilderness. The misconception people have is looking at budget as something way low level. This is not any where close to true. You can still get a very comfortable safari experience on a budget. The competition in the Kenya tourism industry has made it possible for several accommodation facilities to lower their rates. Besides, camping safaris in Kenya can still be budget, mid-range and luxury depending on the kind of experience that you want.
