Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
When you arrive, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park. You will have lunch en route and when you reach Musanze, you will check in to your accommodation facility and relax as you wait for your gorilla encounter the following day.

Day 2: Rwanda Gorilla Tracking
This is the day you reconcile with gorillas in the jungles of Volcanoes National Park. When you wake up, you have to make it to the park headquarters before 7:30 am for briefing. From here you will head to the mountains under accompaniment of armed game rangers as you search for gorillas. When you finally locate them, you will spend 1 hour with them and return to the park quarters for your gorilla tracking certificates.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking and Transfer to Kivu
This you track a different species of primates – the golden monkeys. The experience is quite overwhelming and adventurous. You will track golden monkeys in the morning and transfer to Lake Kivu in Gisenyi.

Day 4: Transfer to Goma and Ascend Mount Nyiragongo
This day you will cross the border to Goma Town in Congo and proceed to ascent Mount Nyiragongo. You will spend 6 hours climbing with a few stop points in between. When you reach on top, you will get close to the world’s most dangerous lava lake. The experience is once in a lifetime. Experts often predict when this lava lake is going to erupt hence, when you visit you are sure of safety.

Day 5: Descend Nyiragongo, transfer to Rwanda and Departure
This day you descend the mountain and transfer to Kigali – Rwanda to catch up with your departure flight. You should spend another 6 hours descending the mountain. When you reach Kigali City, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for a drop off.
